Editorial Methodology
Dev Error DB is built from structured error records rather than ad hoc keyword pages. Each page should start with a recognizable error signature, a technology, a category, update dates, common causes, and a concise troubleshooting path.
What source-backed means
Source-backed means a page includes public references or imported evidence that support the existence of the error pattern. Sources may include official documentation, public issue reports, public release notes, or other public developer troubleshooting material.
What is not allowed
Pages must not invent error data, fake commands, fake sources, fake version support, fake provider policies, or guaranteed fixes. Private logs, secrets, customer data, and unsupported claims are not acceptable public page sources.
Update process
Pages include update fields from the content record when available. Older records may only have a legacy updated date. Corrections are accepted by email and should include the page URL, the incorrect claim, and a public source or reproducible context.
